UTP/STP Patch Cord Bundles
When managing high-density network environments, organization and airflow are just as important as signal speed. iFiber Optix's UTP/STP Patch Cord Bundles streamline complex installations by grouping multiple high-quality patch cables into a single, pre-dressed assembly — reducing installation time, eliminating cable chaos, and delivering a clean, professional result from day one.
Available in 6, 12, and 24-cable configurations with UTP or STP shielding and CAT 6 or CAT 6A performance — 100% factory terminated and Fluke tested before shipment.
UTP/STP Patch Cord Bundles
Our Patch Cord Bundles take the guesswork out of large-scale cable management. By pre-bundling high-performance UTP or STP patch cables, we help data center managers and IT professionals reduce installation time and dramatically improve rack aesthetics. Each bundle is dressed with professional-grade binding materials that keep cables aligned without over-compressing jackets — preserving full CAT 6 or CAT 6A electrical performance across every link in the bundle.
Every bundle ships 100% factory terminated and Fluke tested — plug in, patch up, and move on. No field termination, no guesswork, no performance surprises.

Example use case: Pre-staged 48-port data center rack deployment — a 24-cable CAT 6A bundle connects an entire switch to a patch panel in a single routed assembly, replacing 24 individual patch cord runs with one clean, labeled trunk that installs in minutes and maintains full airflow from front to back.
Key Features
- Flexible Bundle Configurations Available in 6, 12, and 24-cable bundles to match the port density of your switches, patch panels, and structured cabling layout — minimizing leftover slack and keeping the cable plant organized by design, not by luck.
- 100% Factory Terminated & Fluke Tested Every individual cable in every bundle is factory terminated and verified with Fluke test equipment before shipment — guaranteeing that every link performs to spec on day one without field testing or rework.
- UTP & STP Shielding Options U/UTP bundles for standard data center and enterprise environments. F/UTP or S/FTP shielded bundles for industrial, medical, and high-EMI environments where individual shielded runs would otherwise be required for each cable.
- Professional Binding & Dressing Each bundle is dressed with hook-and-loop straps or expandable mesh sleeving — securing cables without over-compression, protecting jacket integrity, and maintaining the minimum bend radius required for full CAT 6/6A performance.
- Customizable Breakout Lengths Staggered 12" fan-out or uniform breakout available — select based on your panel and switch layout to ensure each individual cord reaches its target port with clean, minimal slack and no cable crossing.
- Color Coding & Labeling Individual cables within each bundle can be color-coded and labeled for instant port-to-port identification — simplifying troubleshooting, moves, adds, and changes without tracing individual runs through a congested cable plant.
Ideal Applications
Patch cord bundles are the right solution wherever multiple parallel copper runs need to be organized, routed, and managed as a single clean assembly.
Switch-to-Panel Patching
The most efficient way to connect a high-density 48-port switch to a patch panel — one bundle replaces 24 or 48 individual cords, with a single routed trunk that installs cleanly in a fraction of the time.
Data Center Row Expansion
Ideal for pre-staged rack deployments requiring rapid setup and clean cable paths — bundles can be pre-run, labeled, and waiting before equipment arrives, dramatically accelerating rack commissioning time.
Under-Floor & Overhead Raceways
Keeps long multi-cable runs organized and prevents tangling when routing through cable trays, basket raceways, and conduit systems — a single bundle is far easier to pull and manage than a handful of loose cables.
Modular & Pod-Based Data Centers
Pre-dressed bundles are the natural fit for modular pod deployments where cable routing is engineered in advance — factory termination eliminates field work inside the pod after delivery.
Enterprise IDF Closets
Replaces individual patch cord chaos in crowded IDF closets — a single 12 or 24-cable bundle from switch to panel keeps the closet organized, accessible, and maintainable long after initial installation.
Government & Municipal Networks
RoHS-compliant construction and GSA contract availability make Patch Cord Bundles a straightforward specification for government data center buildouts, campus infrastructure, and municipal network projects.
How to Configure Your Patch Cord Bundle
Four decisions define your bundle specification — work through them in order to arrive at the correct configuration for your deployment.
Select Bundle Count
Match the bundle count to your switch or panel port groupings. A 24-cable bundle serves one side of a standard 48-port switch. A 12-cable bundle works for half-width switches or modular chassis line cards. 6-cable bundles suit smaller access switches and edge deployments.
Choose Performance Tier
CAT 6 (1G / 250 MHz) for standard connectivity where 10G is not required at that port. CAT 6A (10G / 500 MHz) for 10GBASE-T switch ports and future-proof deployments. Both tiers are available in 24 AWG standard or 28 AWG slim conductor options.
UTP vs. STP Shielding
U/UTP for standard data center, enterprise, and office environments. F/UTP or S/FTP shielded bundles for runs near power infrastructure, industrial equipment, or in facilities where the entire cabling channel is shielded and grounded — shielding is only effective in a fully grounded system.
Specify Length & Breakout
Overall bundle length is measured trunk-to-breakout. Staggered 12" breakouts fan individual cables to their destination ports cleanly. Uniform breakouts are preferred when all destination ports are at the same distance. Contact us with your rack layout for a custom length quote.
