Splice Cassettes

A splice cassette organizes and protects fiber optic fusion splices inside a rack-mount enclosure. It holds heat-shrink splice protection sleeves securely in place, manages excess fiber slack with radius-controlled storage loops, and protects the splice joints from physical disturbance or contamination. Splice cassettes are the standard method for organizing splices in data center, telecom, and enterprise fiber infrastructure.

Corning splice cassettes are designed to drop directly into Corning CCH panel housings and LANscape® structured cabling systems. LGX splice cassettes use the standard LGX form factor, making them compatible with virtually any major brand rack-mount enclosure. The IFO "P" Series High Density cassette supports up to 24 splices per cassette — double the standard count — making it the right choice when maximizing splice density per rack unit is the priority.

Yes. All three splice cassette models — Corning, IFO "P" Series HD, and LGX — are compatible with both singlemode (OS1/OS2) and multimode (OM1–OM4) fiber. Cassette selection is based on housing compatibility and required splice density, not fiber type.

Standard Corning and LGX splice cassettes hold 12 splices using 60 mm heat-shrink sleeves. The IFO "P" Series High Density cassette holds up to 24 splices and accepts both 40 mm and 60 mm sleeves, making it ideal for high-fiber-count backbone installations where rack space is at a premium.

Yes. All iFiber Optix splice cassettes are designed and rated for use in data centers, telecom central offices, and enterprise network environments. The -40°C to +70°C operating temperature range and durable ABS tray construction ensure reliable performance across all standard indoor deployment conditions.
