High-Quality Fiber Optic Adapters – Simplex, Duplex, and Quad
The iFiber Optix Fiber Optic Adapter Series delivers seamless, low-loss connections across the full spectrum of modern fiber networks. Available in simplex, duplex, and quad configurations for LC, SC, and APC connector types, these adapters are engineered to meet the performance demands of data centers, enterprise networks, and telecommunications infrastructure — with the quality and reliability that GSA-authorized procurement requires.
Whether extending an existing installation or designing a new high-density deployment, iFiber Optix adapters provide the stable, repeatable connection performance that your network depends on.
Fiber Optic Adapters
iFiber Optix fiber optic adapters are precision-engineered to mate fiber optic connectors with minimal insertion loss and maximum repeatability. Available in every major connector type and channel configuration, our adapters serve as the critical interface component in patch panels, enclosures, wall plates, and direct-connect applications. Built from robust, RoHS-compliant materials and tested to stringent performance standards, each adapter is designed for the long-term reliability that mission-critical network infrastructure demands.

iFiber Optix adapters are available in three channel configurations and multiple connector types to match any network deployment. Select the combination that aligns with your infrastructure requirements.
Simplex
Single-channel connections for low-complexity networks. Ideal for unidirectional signal paths, sensor interfaces, and installations where channel count is limited.
Duplex
Two-channel adapters supporting simultaneous bidirectional data transmission. The standard for most enterprise, telecom, and data center fiber deployments.
Quad
Four-channel adapters for high-density environments where maximizing port count per panel is essential. Reduces enclosure footprint while increasing fiber capacity.
Compact 1.25mm ferrule design for high-density installations. The industry standard for modern SFP/SFP+ applications in data centers and enterprise switching environments.
2.5mm ferrule push-pull mechanism known for ease of use and consistent insertion. Widely deployed in telecom infrastructure and legacy enterprise fiber networks.
Angled physical contact polish (8° ferrule angle) reduces back-reflection to ≥60dB return loss — the preferred choice for FTTX, CATV, and passive optical network applications.

Key Features
- Low Insertion Loss Engineered for minimal signal attenuation at the adapter interface — keeping insertion loss low across repeated mating cycles and maintaining network performance over the life of the installation.
- High Return Loss Precision-polished ferrule alignment sleeves ensure high back-reflection suppression, with APC variants achieving ≥60dB return loss for passive optical and broadband applications.
- Durable Construction Adapter housings are manufactured from robust, impact-resistant materials engineered for long-term performance in patch panel, enclosure, and wall-plate installations subject to frequent connection cycles.
- RoHS Compliant All iFiber Optix adapters meet RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliance requirements — free from lead, mercury, cadmium, and other restricted substances for environmentally responsible network builds.
- Easy Installation Snap-in and panel-mount designs enable fast, tool-free installation. Consistent adapter geometry ensures compatibility with standard panel cutouts and enclosure configurations across all product lines.
- GSA Authorized iFiber Optix is a GSA Authorized Seller — all adapters are available for government procurement through established GSA contract vehicles, meeting federal acquisition requirements.

Applications
iFiber Optix adapters are deployed across industries and network types — wherever a reliable, low-loss fiber connection point is required.
Data Centers
High-density LC duplex and quad adapters support the rapid connection cycles and port density requirements of modern hyperscale and enterprise data center fiber infrastructure.
Telecommunications Networks
SC and APC adapters are the backbone of telecom central office patch panels and outside plant splice enclosures, providing the stable, repeatable connections that carrier-grade networks demand.
Enterprise Networks
Duplex LC and SC adapters integrate seamlessly into structured cabling systems, supporting Gigabit and 10G backbone infrastructure in corporate, campus, and government network environments.
FTTX & Passive Optical Networks
APC adapters are the specified choice for FTTX deployments and PON architectures, where back-reflection control is critical to maintaining signal quality across the passive optical distribution network.
How to Choose the Right Adapter
Selecting the correct adapter requires matching three key parameters to your network requirements. Work through each factor to identify the right configuration.
Match Your Connector Type
The adapter must match the connector type on both sides of the connection. LC adapters accept LC connectors; SC adapters accept SC connectors. For APC connections, both the adapter and patch cable must be APC-polished to achieve the full return loss benefit — mixing APC and UPC connectors is not recommended and will degrade performance.
Select the Channel Configuration
Choose simplex for single-fiber or unidirectional applications. Duplex for standard bidirectional links — this is the most common configuration for Ethernet, FC, and telecom connections. Quad adapters maximize port density in high-count enclosures and patch panels where rack space is at a premium.
Specify Singlemode or Multimode
Singlemode adapters (typically OS2, blue/green housing) are used for long-distance links where low insertion loss and high bandwidth are required. Multimode adapters (OM3/OM4, aqua housing) are suited for shorter-distance data center and campus runs. Select the adapter mode to match your fiber and transceiver specifications.
