Mini Wall Mount Enclosure for Compact Fiber Patching and Splicing
The iFiber Optix Mini Wall Mount Enclosure offers a space-efficient solution for managing fiber optic connections — ideal for small installations, telecom closets, and customer premises equipment (CPE). Designed to support both patching and splicing of fibers, these enclosures are a flexible and scalable option for singlemode and multimode networks of all sizes.
Whether you need a fully loaded setup with adapter panels, pigtails, and splice sleeves, or a simplified plug-and-play solution with MTP adapters, the Mini Wall Mount Enclosure ensures quick installation and easy maintenance in even the most space-constrained environments. Supporting up to 24 LC fibers or 12 SC fibers, it handles the demands of CPE, FTTH, enterprise, and edge network deployments with equal ease.
Mini Wall Mount Enclosure
iFiber Optix Mini Wall Mount Enclosures can patch and splice up to 24 LC fibers or 12 SC fibers in singlemode or multimode configurations. Supplied fully loaded with adapter panels, pigtails, a splice sleeve holder, and a pre-terminated stub cable — or as a plug-and-play module with an MTP adapter or pigtails. Key Features
- Patching & Splicing Capability Supports up to 24 LC fibers or 12 SC fibers for both singlemode and multimode applications — enclosures can be pre-terminated for patching only, or supplied with a splice chip for combined patching and splicing capability within the same compact chassis.
- Customizable & Modular Design Available fully loaded with adapter panels, splice sleeve holders, and pigtails, or with pre-terminated stub cables for plug-and-play use — as well as MTP adapter configurations for high-density multimode and singlemode connectivity in minimal space.
- Easy Access for Maintenance Equipped with easy-to-loosen thumbscrews for quick access to internal components — simplifying maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting operations and reducing technician downtime during network changes or repairs.
- Versatile Mounting Options Wall mountable by default, with optional rack-mount brackets for enhanced flexibility in different deployment environments — enabling the same enclosure to serve both wall-mount and rack-mount installation scenarios without additional hardware changes.
- Compact Space-Saving Form Factor The mini enclosure fits into tight spaces where standard-size wall mount enclosures cannot — making it perfect for CPE installations, small telecom rooms, edge network locations, and any deployment where minimizing physical footprint is a priority.
Applications
- Telecommunication Networks Manage fiber links efficiently within telecom closets or edge networks — providing a compact, organized termination and splice point for singlemode and multimode fiber in central office, headend, and last-mile access network deployments.
- Data Centers Use the mini enclosure to organize fiber splices and patching points in space-constrained data center environments — ideal for top-of-rack, edge, or satellite equipment room locations where a full-size enclosure would be impractical.
- Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) Install compact enclosures directly on customer sites for FTTH and fiber broadband deployments — providing a clean, professional, and secure fiber termination point at the network demarcation location for residential and commercial subscribers.
- Enterprise Networks Ideal for use within office buildings and enterprise environments requiring organized fiber management in IDF closets, workgroup distribution points, and floor-level network nodes where space efficiency and ease of maintenance are equally important.
How to Choose the Right Configuration
- Connector Type Select enclosures that support LC, SC, ST, or MTP adapters based on your existing equipment and cabling plant — LC configurations support the highest fiber counts (up to 24), while SC and ST options suit legacy or mixed-connector environments.
- Fiber Mode Choose between singlemode OS2 (SM) or multimode OM3/OM4 (AQ) depending on your network's transmission distance and bandwidth requirements — SC/APC connector options are available exclusively for singlemode configurations.
- Capacity Needs Select 6-port, 12-port, or 24-port configurations based on the number of fiber connections required at the installation point — 24-port capacity is available for LC connector configurations, offering the highest fiber density in the mini form factor.
- Installation Location Determine whether wall-mount or rack-mount flexibility is required for your specific deployment location — standard wall-mount hardware is included, with optional rack-mount brackets available for installations within standard 19-inch equipment racks.
Customization Options
At iFiber Optix, we offer customization services to match your network's specific requirements. Choose from various connector types, fiber counts, and pre-terminated configurations to create a solution tailored to your environment.
- Connector Configurations Choose from LC, SC, ST, SC/APC, and MTP adapter options to ensure full compatibility with your existing fiber cabling plant and active networking equipment — mixed connector configurations available on request for legacy or transitional network environments.
- Pre-Terminated Options Order enclosures pre-loaded with factory-terminated pigtails, adapter panels, and splice sleeve holders for immediate deployment — or specify a pre-terminated stub cable or MTP plug-and-play module to reduce field termination labor and eliminate field termination errors.
- Fiber Mode & Count Specify singlemode OS2 or multimode OM3/OM4 fiber type with 6, 12, or 24-port configurations to precisely match your current capacity requirements — ensuring the right balance of fiber density and enclosure footprint for your specific installation.
