Fiber Splicing Pigtails

Easy Strip Mini Fiber Pigtails

These Easy Strip fiber pigtails feature a durable outer jacket ensuring strength and protection during installations. This distribution fiber fans out into the 900um tight-buffered fibers,  color-coded to TIA-598-A industry standards. These pigtails are available in single-mode or multi-mode, 6-packs or 12-packs, and your choice of connectors. All pigtails feature low insertion loss, low back reflection and are made with Corning fiber. The standard length of 3 meters: 1 meter 900μm ‘fan out’ and 2-meter distribution ‘tail’.

Easy Strip 900μm Pigtails

These 900μm tight buffer pigtails are designed for high fiber count splicing applications and are color-coded to TIA-598-A industry standards for ease of use. Pigtails are available in single-mode or multi-mode, 6-packs or 12-packs, and your choice of connectors. All pigtails feature low insertion loss, low back reflection and are made with Corning fiber. The standard length of 3 meters.

A fiber pigtail is a single, short, usually tight-buffered fiber optic cable with a factory-installed connector on one end, and unterminated fiber on the other end.

Advantage of using terminated pigtails

  • Lower labor costs

Installers working with single-mode fiber typically have a fusion splicer machine. With a fusion splicer, you just splice the pigtail right onto the fiber cable in a minute or less

  • Factory guaranteed high quality

Our factory-terminated pigtails are made in a controlled environment (the factory) and high-quality polishing machines. i Fiber Optix promises low insertion loss, high return loss (low reflection).

Fusion splicing is the process of fusing or welding two fibers together by an electric arc. Fusion splicing is the most widely used method of splicing as it provides for the lowest loss and least reflection, as well as providing the strongest and most reliable joint between two fibers.
